[…When I was 11 years old, my school teachers asked me what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. Along with my classmates, I had to choose from three ideal jobs. My number one choice was being an explorer. However teachers tried to crush that dream, perhaps because they were pragmatic or insecure about their unfulfilled aspirations.
Looking back, I admit it was a broad idea. What did I even mean by explorer? I wanted to travel and meet people. The other two options were big question marks because I had no idea what else I could do.
I think millions of us can relate to this. In a world so focused on overproduction and constant growth, how do we figure out what we truly want to do in ethical and meaningful ways? Is there a time and space to reflect on our authenticity, to develop our creativity and to help ourselves so we can help others do the same?
To make this happen, we have to shift our mindset first and I believe this guide might help you to do that!…]
This snippet is from the preface of something I’ve been working on for months: a 13 weeks guide for creatives/entrepreneurs (though I prefer to think of it as a “how to remember to be a playful child” to start with).
It’s born from that 11-year-old’s confused me and the realisation that, for some, are still navigating that same question: How do we create, work and live ethically in a system that often rewards the opposite?
I feel strongly about the fact that children sometimes have better ethics than most adults and I will mention this further in future posts.
Who is this for?
Everyone with the desire to explore their creativity. Particularly; if you’re between 18+ and 28 wanting to develop an ethical creative business, have multiple interests and not knowing where to start.

After an hibernation period (and a few illnesses), spring is finally here (ish…I live in the old land of Cymru after all 😀 That picture above shows a beautiful landscape during springtime) I’m ready to unfold this project with you. It’s unfinished but very much alive! And this guide will be ready this coming autumn. It’s very exciting!
If any part of that snippet resonated with you, please share one word that landed with you or let it sit with you for a while. 🙂
